With your favorite leggings
Is there any outfit more comfortable than a pair of leggings and a flowy top? We didn’t think so. That’s why we can’t recommend this combination enough.
Regardless of whether your leggings are from Blue Fish or another favorite retailer, they’re a great item to pair with anything Blue Fish. Try solid black or grey leggings to keep it classic and show your top, or play around with patterns and colors for a more playful look.
Added bonus: If you’re feeling the cold this winter, you can also layer them under our pants, dresses, or skirts for an added layer of warmth!
Belted around the waist
If you’d like to change up the silhouette of your shirt or tunic, we recommend belting your top to create a completely different look that hugs your figure. Typically, you’ll want it to sit around the narrowest part of your torso, but you can experiment with higher or lower placement to see what’s most comfortable for you.
Our shorter and longer tops and tunics can easily be belted. Use a thin belt to keep the top billowy, or try a thick one to add a more defined waist. Keep it classic with chic leather (or faux-leather) or get creative and play with fun scraps of fabric like we often do.
Layered with other shirts and accessories
This is typical of our Lagenlook style. We love to play with layers--two or three or sometimes even four! Layers can be as simple as a long cardi over a dress or more complex, with aprons, skirts, pants, shirts, and cardis thrown into the mix.
There’s a bit of a method to this--we recommend wearing the longest piece as your “base” layer, and then adding progressively shorter pieces as you go so that you can see and enjoy every one. However, the options are limitless. Play with lengths, colors, and silhouettes until you find what you love! And don’t forget accessories like scarves and necklaces to top it all off.
There is no wrong way to wear Blue Fish! Keep it simple, get crazy, match head to toe, or mix up colors and patterns to your heart’s content… our clothes are all about showing off your unique personality and style.
