walking the dogs before the snakes come out

Hello blue fish people………

Tho I feel more fluent in visual communication and less proficient at expressing thoughts in words, I’m going to give this a go :

I am a painter, living in a rural area of the CA Sierra Nevada and this is my blue fish story—

In my recent past I needed to relocate to the city for 6 months of chemotherapy.  I can say, without doubt, that having my blue fish to wear during treatment lifted my spirits.  Having friendly, comfortable, pretty clothing improved my outlook and provided the added benefit of creating smiles among the nurses and other patients.

Currently I’m back in the city for radiation treatment and you can bet my blue fish is right along with me!

I love blue fish clothing!  They embrace the qualities of life well lived……  Unique, spirited, versatile and enduring.   When I wear blue fish I feel happy.  I feel pretty.  I feel confident.   What’s so fun about these clothes is the ability to create styles to match mood and occasion…whimsy without fussiness.  I love that the clothes are made with a conscience and one can feel the “life” in the design of each style, unlike the acres of embarrassed, soul-less garments  found in department stores.

Blue fish clothes have the ability to go anywhere.  I can wear them to a gallery opening or to radiation therapy.  Invariably people stare at first, trying to pigeonhole the style but then can’t help break a smile.  And a smile is a good first step to communication.   So there you have it.

I’ve attached a foto of one of my paintings…”walking the dogs before the snakes come out”

Thanks for doing what you do,

Cheyenne
