former students and living history

After two years of breast cancer experience, my husband took me on a pleasure trip to Austin where this picture was taken of me in blue fish, THE only clothes to wear.
We are both retired from our careers, me a public school teacher, and he was assistant city attorney for Fort Worth. He loved his career, and I have drempt of all my students. Recently he started walking me in the mall for the exercise. There a young man walked up saying Mrs. Steinberger, I have you to thank. We worked together in Accounting, and he has made it his profession. Whew, it seems like every year I would say "the records of business are kept in Accounting, any/all businesses, any/all languages".
He took his education to all levels and seems very satisfied. but not nearly as satisfied as I was feeling at this meeting. Hour or so later, a young woman approached. She said Mrs. Steinberger, and once again I felt the joy of my years of teaching. Her story told me that I had reached another with what seemed to be my endless babble.
Now I am healing, but that walk and running into two former students is far more than a story but my living history.
