a passion for art

My passion is hand hooking rugs, which I make by pulling strips of hand-dyed or recycled wool through a linen backing.  I enjoy creating with the wool textures and colors.  I designed my first rug with the Haitian mermaid goddess, La Sirena.  So, of course, I needed sea and mermaid Blue Fish for the annual rug workshop in Cape May, NJ.  Just as my rugs are one of a kind, so is Blue Fish and I feel like a work of art wearing it.  I attach pictures of the Blue Fish outfit and some of my rugs, including La Sirena.
